Educational Therapist Tami received her B.S. in Human Development from U.C. Davis. Throughout her four years as an undergraduate, she was a special education intern with community groups, public schools, and the U.C. Davis preschool. She received her M.A. in Education from the University of Connecticut, specializing in high-ability students with learning disabilities. Professionally, Tami has been in the field of education for over ten years. She initially worked in school settings to gain essential classroom and school environment experience. Currently, she is an educational therapist in private practice. She has professional standing as a member of the Association of Educational Therapists and attends their monthly study groups. Tami frequently pursues postgraduate education. She has completed extensive course work through SJSU in special education as well gained numerous certifications in a variety of training methods. She regularly attends professional workshops and seminars. Presently, she is active in the International Dyslexia Association and assists with the Learning Disability/Attention Deficit Disorder Parent Support Group at Parents Helping Parents (PHP). |
